President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Professor Akpofure Rim-Rukeh as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, (FUPRE) Delta State.
Prof. Rim-Rukeh is 4th substantive Vice Chancellor of FUPRE following his appointment on Thursday.
The new VC hails from Ovu community in Agbon Kingdom in the Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Until his appointment, Prof. Rim-Rukeh was a professor in the faculty of Environmental Studies at the institution.
He was also a former acting VC of the university.
