Hon. Chinedu Ogah, member representing Ezza-South/ Ikwo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has paid school fees for five undergraduates studying across tertiary institutions in the country.
Ogah, in December 2019, offered scholarship to 31 graduates from the 31 political wards that made up his constituency, to run their masters degree programmes in any university of their choice in the country and promise to offer them automatic employment upon completion of their studies.
He, however, lamented that the youths are not willing to study.
Among the beneficiaries are Otubo Godfrey (HND 1) and Agwu Mmaduka Alobu (HND 2) of Computer Engineering Technology, Oko Polytechnics, Anambra State; Nwafor Kingsley, 300L law student of Ebonyi State University and Igwe Chika, HND 1 student of Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu State.
Similarly, Nwonu Emmanuel Onyebuchi, a graduate of Ebonyi State University, who had no money to complete his graduation clearance.
Ogah handed over the school fees to the undergraduates at his Abakaliki residence and urged them to use it for the purpose it was meant and avoid cohabitating with women as it will ruin their studies.

He warned that he will stop helping any of them who is cohabitating instead of studying hard to become best graduating student.
He noted that the gesture was to increase literacy in his constituency and reduce youth’s unemployment in the area as youth empowerment is his top most agenda in the House of Representatives.
He promised to assist other indigent students in the constituency and urged the undergraduates to be serious in their studies to make good results and assist their individual families.
He condemned the attitude of some youths who engage in anti-social vices which he said can mar their future and advised them to turn a new leaf and stop cultism and political thuggery.
