Audit: Group To Mobilise One Million Youths In For NDDC Interim Board

The Voice of the Southern People of Nigeria, (VOTSPON) has warned against plot to distract the ongoing forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) by it described as politicians with vested interest with the previous running of the interventionist agency.

VOTSPON threatened that it will mobilize at least one million youths from across the Niger Delta states to protest against those clamouring for the removal of the Acting Managing Director of the commission, Dr. Joi Nunieh, and the board.

The group in a statement signed by its Field Mobilizer, Comrade Ikem Anthony Kalzeeni and VOTSPON Legal Adviser called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ignore the calls as they were meant to distract ongoing forensic audit.

According to the statement, “Voice of the Southern People of Nigeria, (VOTSPON)Vows to mobilize millions of Youths from each state of the Niger Delta in support of the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Joi Nunieh, led Interim Management Committee against forces of evil and looters of NDDC that are using their agents and collaborators to distract and discredit the  forensic audit adventure of President Muhammadu Buhari  through Dr.Joi Nunieh, led Interim Management Committee.

“We in Voice of the Southern People of Nigeria(VOTSPON) hereby wish to use this Press release to inform the world that those calling for the sack of the interim management committee and their “Sack NDDC interim committee” show of shame, is dead on arrival. Those with clean hands are relaxed and waiting for the interim forensic audit report, while the guilty looters that looted NDDC dry are networking day and night  to frustrate and stop the works of the NDDC interim management committee.

“They will not succeed. We the ‘Voice of the Southern People of Nigeria (VOTSPON)’ are now ready to stop them. Our People from the Niger Delta region of Southern Nigeria are getting ready to come out in millions as we prepare for a solid solidarity outing in firm and absolute support of the leadership of NDDC Interim management committee.


“The Presidential order and mission to carry out forensic audit in all NDDC activities will arrive at a logical thorough conclusion with facts and figures of looted public funds clearly established and exposed to be recovered. “
