River State governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike has approved payment of N30,000 minimum wage for employees of the Rivers State Public Service with the consequential salary adjustments as approved by the Federal Government.
Woke’s approval was contained in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim, on Thursday evening.
The statement, however, did not specify commencement date of the payment of the new salaries and whether there would be arrears involved.
