The chairman of the Bayelsa State chapter of Butchers Association, Mr. Chibuzor Nwachukwu has been reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen.
Nwachukwu, 42, was reportedly ambushed by his assassins and he was shot on the head. He was said to have died instantly.
Our correspondent gathered that the father of four was killed by the arms-wielding hoodlums at about 8pm on Tuesday.
WARRI TODAY learnt that the deceased, who hailed from Nkanun Community in Enugu State, was killed along Ogilo Street in front his apartment in Yenagoa, the state capital.

His killers are being suspected to be cultists who had been terrorizing the area.
The Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Asinim Butswat, confirmed the incident when contacted on Wednesday.
Butswat said police operatives have already visited the scene of the incident, and had commence investigation into the killing.
“On 24 September, 2019, at about 20:00 hours, unknown gunmen shot and killed one Chibuzor Nwachukwu ‘m’ 42 years, at Ogilo Street, Yenagoa”, the Bayelsa PPRO added.
