The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has hailed the appointment of Mr Festus Keyamo as ministerial nominee from the state, saying that Keyamo contributed immensely to the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 Presidential Election.
In a statement by the Prophet Jones Erue-led APC said the nomination of Keyamo as minister is received with rapturous applause from members of the party in the state.
The statement issued on Wednesday by the State Publicity Secretary, Sylvester Imonina, thanked President Buhari for the choice of Keyamo, a title chief in Urhobo and a renowned anti-corruption crusader in the country.

“The All Progressives Congress, Delta State, led by Prophet Jones Ode Erue welcomed with infinite pleasure, the consideration/nomination of Chief Festus Keyamo (SAN) as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari. In fact, the appointment was received with rapturous applause/joy by the Leaders and Members of APC, Delta State.
“Chief Festus Keyamo, before his journey into politics was/is a known human right Activist and a social Crusader who believed(s) in making Nigeria a better place. We believe that his stance on issues that shape Nigeria for good, made Mr. President to see him as a fit and proper ally to work with.
“Meanwhile, during the first leg of the administration of Mr. President, Chief Festus Keyamo made APC, Delta State, and Nigerians proud in his contibutions to the Nigerian project. Moreover, before, during and after the 2019 general elections, Chief Keyamo stood by Mr. President and APC, both in Delta and at the Federal level. His contributions to the victory of Mr. President/APC are unquantifiable!”, the statement added.

The party assured that it would continue to support and provide useful suggestion to the former spokesperson of the APC Presidential Council in discharge of his duty and helping President Buhari to achieve his ‘Next Level’ agenda for Nigerians.
According to it, “Therefore, APC Delta State will continue to give Chief Festus Keyamo (SAN), the necessary supports for the good of APC and Nigeria/Nigerians.
“APC, Delta State wants to use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians, both partisans and non-partisans, to give Chief Keyamo the necessary support to succeed in the new national assignment entrusted unto him. We believe that he will not fail Nigerians in his duties to our father land.”
