A senior staff of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State has been reportedly shot dead.
The victim identified as John Chukwudi was believed to have been killed by suspected assassins on Wednesday night.
The deceased, a middle age man, was said to have been shot about six times by his attackers.

The incident, WARRI TODAY learnt, has sparked palpable tension among lecturers and students of the polytechnic.
His killers were said to have waited and monitored him die after they buried six shots on his body.
The shooting caused pandemonium in the area as customers who had come to have fun, and people within the neighborhood as they scampered for safety.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeyinka Adeleke, confirmed the development when contacted on Thursday.
He, however, noted that information regarding the incident were still sketchy but stated that the command has launched investigation into the killing.
