Mrs. Anino Benson-Uwheru, wife of the immediate past Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Plc, Dr. Benson Uwheru FCIB, has emerged as the overall best graduating student in the MSc program of the prestigious University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
Mrs. Benson-Uwheru, who graduated with distinction in MSc International Human Resources Management, was also honoured with Henley Business School Prize for achieving the highest weighted average in her course.
Anino, a proud Itsekiri but married to Urhobo, hails from Delta State, Nigeria.
The celebrant’s blazing academic career began from the Delta State University, Abraka, where she bagged her first degree before proceeding to the University of Lagos, where she earned a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
Not satisfied with her educational pursuit, Mrs. Benson-Uwheru enrolled for her second master’s degree at the Reading University, United Kingdom, in International Human Resource Management, and created new records.
The Delta State-born human resources professional was a former Human Resource Business Partner (Lead) at United Bank for Africa (UBA), Nigeria, where she performed credibly in the various positions she has held in the past.
Her excellent human management skills contributed immensely to the growth of her unit in UBA, making the bank one of the most people-friendly banks in Nigeria.
Unrelenting Mrs. Anino Benson-Uwheru holds certifications as a Professional in Human Resources – International (PHRi) and Senior Professional in Human Resources – International (SPHRi). She is also a Certified Personnel Manager (CIPM) under the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), a leading global body for human resources and people development.
Her professional qualifications further underscore her dedication to her field. She holds certifications as a Professional in Human Resources – International (PHRi) and Senior Professional in Human Resources – International (SPHRi).
