Pomp As Delta Female Journalist, Heartthrob Tie Knot


 

Saturday, June 8, 2024 would remain evergreen in the hearts of former Miss Success Okuchemiya and her heartthrob, Quincy Oghenechoja Ose, as they held their traditional marriage ceremony in grand style.

 

The event which spotted top media gurus and academia among other dignitaries took place at Ekete in Udu, Delta state.

 

Mrs. Success is a graduate of Mass Communication from the Delta State University, Abraka. She has worked with several media houses including South South Magazine, BigPen Nigeria and The Journalist. She is currently a staff of Federal Polytechnic, Orogun.

 

The newly wedded couple are both Urhobo from hail from (groom) Aghalokpe in Agbarha-Otor Kingdom and  (bride) Abraka Kingdom in Ughelli North and Ethiope East LGAs of Delta.

 

The lovebirds, now Mr and Mrs Oghenechoja Ose, treated guests to nice Urhobo and Isoko tunes as they (guests) awaited the conclusion of the traditional marriage rites.

 

Clad in army green and gold coloured attires, the radiantly-looking and elegantly-dressed couple danced into the arena to the admiration of family and hundreds of guests who had gathered to share in their joy.

The ceremony featured a special dance performance by children of St. Jude Catholic Church, Effurun, for the couple.

Some dignitaries who spoke about the couple, advised them to build their home on “honesty and good communication” as they embark on the school of marriage.

 

In a chat with newsmen, Success, who is now Mrs. Ose said, “I choose love, I choose focus. I believe in him. He has skills that I see in him that both us can achieve greater heights together.”

 

Mrs. Success used the opportunity to advice spinsters to stay focused and never give up, adding “Delay is not denial. Just have the faith in God.”

Success also expressed her gratitude to God Almighty for giving her hubby as well as making the traditional marriage a success. “I’m grateful to God. The lifter up of hands.”

On his part, Mr. Quincy Oghenechoja Ose, appreciated God and both families for standing by them, noting that his wife “is everything to me.”

Also speaking, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, Comrade Victor Okpomor, who spoke on behalf of the Union, congratulated the newly wedded couple.

 

He said, “Don’t allow a third party to intervene between you. Don’t make their judgement to make you have another concern about your husband. It’s just the two of you. Both of you left your parents and joined together to be one and that oneness.”

 

Comrade Okpomor, who has been married for the past twenty five(25) years, also enjoined the couple to always hope in God, pray and continue to give the third party a good booth so that you can succeed in her marriage. “Hold God very comfortable” he said.

 

“I wish her all the best that she wished herself, success as her name implies. I wish her all the best, good health, long life, prosperity and the number of children they intend to have in Jesus Name.”
