The detained traditional ruler of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom in Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo, Urhokpe 1, has not been released by the Defence Headquarters.

Sources told our correspondent that the revered traditional ruler was still being held in military custody over his alleged involvement in the killing of 17 military personnel around the riverine Okuama community of Ughelli South.

Checks by the medium confirmed that the British-trained monarch was yet to be set free.

The monarch has spent over two weeks in military detention where he is being interrogated on the killing of the military personnel.

He had earlier turned himself in few hours after being declared wanted by the Nigerian military to the authorities of the Nigeria Police Force in Delta State where he had also denied knowledge of the killing of the soldiers.

Recall that unknown gunmen had waylaid and gruesomely murdered 17 military personnel of the 181 Amphibious Battalion in Bomadi while on a peace mission to Okuama community.
