The Olorogun O’tega Emerhor-led Mainstream Delta APC of the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has finally agreed to support the governorship ambition of Chief Great Ogboru and all candidates of the party in this Saturday election.
WARRI TODAY learnt that the decision to support Ogboru and other candidates of the party that emerged from the Prophet Jones Erue-led State Working Committee of the APC was reached on Tuesday after series of meetings by the caucus of the Mainstream Delta APC.
It was learnt that the final meeting was held at the country-home of the Delta State APC leader, Olorogun Emerhor, in Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
This medium gathered that prominent members of MDA attended the meeting.
Our sources said a final statement would be issued on why MDA had decided to support Ogboru in the election.
Inside sources at the meeting told our correspondent that the decision was necessitated following the visit of the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo to the state on Monday.
