President Tinubu Gifts Houses, Scholarships To Families Of Slain Soldiers In Delta

President Bola Tinubu has promised to provide housing and full educational scholarships to university level to the children of the17 military officers gruesomely murdered around Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

 

Tinubu announced the gesture while speaking at the burial ceremony held for the 17 deceased soldiers at the National Cemetery, Abuja.

 

The burial was attended by the Governors of Delta, Bayelsa, Kano and speaker of the House of Representatives, Ministers and other dignitaries.

 

The President who eulogized the slain soldiers for their sacrifice to the nation, vowed to ensure that those behind the killing of the military personnel would be apprehended and prosecuted by the government.

 

Speacial Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, also confirmed Tinubu’s promises in a tweet on his official X account.

 

Olusegun wrote, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says the federal government will provide housing to each of the families of the fallen heroes anywhere they choose within the country.

“The federal government also awarded the children of the fallen heroes full educational scholarships to the University level including the ones still in the womb of their mothers. FG also appeals to the Military Pensions Board that all their emoluments must be paid within 90 days.”
