The Chairman of the Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Paul Omotoso, is dead.
It was gathered that Omotoso died in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness.
The deceased was learnt that have complained of feverish condition on Tuesday evening to his family members.
Omotoso, who was in the office on Tuesday, was said to have been taken to hospital, but passed on on Wednesday.
A top official of Ekiti State Government, who confirmed the incident, said, “Yes, the APC State chairman is dead. We will pay a visit to his family this morning.”
It would be recalled that Omotoso was kidnapped last year but regained freedom few days later.
Recall that APC had in the past lost the state chairmen of Nasarawa, Ondo, Benue and some others since the formation of the party.
