Popular Veteran Nollywood Actor, Mr Ibu, Dies At 62


Legendary Nigerian movie actor, Mr. John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has died after months of battling ailment.

Mr. Ibu, 62, was reported to have died on Saturday, according to multiple sources.

The comic actor had been undergoing treatment resulting in one of his legs being amputated.

It was learned that the comedian suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment, and could not make alive.

The veteran Nollywood hailed from Nkanu West L.G.A. of Enugu State where he also had his education.

The family of the celebrated actor is yet to make official statement regarding to purported passage of the comedian.

Wikipedia, an international personality profile site, has also updated its profile indicating that the thespian had passed on.

Meanwhile, Nigerians including celebrities have taken to social media to mourn the passage of the talented actor.
