Buhari Jets Out For King Charles’ Coronation In London

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Wednesday leaves for London, capitol of United Kingdom, to attend coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, respectively.

The Nigerian President, will be his attendance, join world leaders including President of the United States Of America and others, to witness the official coronation of King Charles III which has been slated for Saturday.

Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed the President’s attendance at the historic event in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, President Buhari will be accompanied to the coronation ceremony by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj.-Gen Babagana Monguno (Rtd).

Others on the entourage are the Director General, National Intelligence Agency, (NIA), Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Chairperson/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and other senior government officials.

Adesina disclosed that ahead of the coronation, the Commonwealth Secretariat would take advantage of the gathering of leaders in London to host a Commonwealth Summit for Presidents and Heads of Government of Commonwealth countries on Friday.

The presidential spokesman said President Buhari was billed to participate in the Summit which will deliberate on the Future of the Commonwealth and the Role of the Youth.
