A 25-year-old man has been reportedly stabbed to death by 50-year-old man identified as Cyril Nnachi oko.
The deceased identified as Peter Nkwuda hails from Ishieke village in Ebonyi local government area of Ebonyi state.
It was gathered that the incident took place at his residence in Oroke Onuoha village Ebonyi local government area of the state when the deceased reportedly increase his sound system to the discomfort of the neighbour.
WARRI TODAY learnt that trouble broke out when the deceased and the suspect were arguing over the development before resulting in confrontation.
Sources said the suspect had appealed to late Peter to reduce the sound but he refused.
It was learnt that the 50-year-old man, who hails from Edda, Afikpo south local government of Ebonyi State, angrily rushed into his room and brought a knife with which he used to kill the victim.
“While Peter was still talking to him, Oko (50-year-old man) stabbed him at the side of his chest and Peter slumped and started bleeding”, a source told our correspondent.
The deceased’s neighbours had made efforts to resuscitate the victim to no avail.
Wife of the deceased, Mrs Chisom Nkwuda, had reported the incident at the Kpiripkiri Police Station but could not save the situation.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ebonyi State, Loveth Odah, confirmed the report and said the suspect have been arrested.
Odah said police has evacuated the corpse to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki.
