Information Minister, Sam Oyovbaire and Joseph Otirhue

The Chairman of Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Hon (DCN) Joseph Otirhue, has congratulated former Minister of Information, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire on his 81st birth anniversary.

Otirhue, in a statement personally signed by him in Asaba on Thursday August 4th, 2022 described the elder statesman as a “living legend and a respected voice on national issues

He said that the people of Niger Delta especially Delta State were particularly grateful to him for his unrelenting service to the people, the region and the country in general.

According to Otirhue, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain’s outstanding contributions to democracy is truly legendary and highly commendable.

He noted that “Oyovbaire remained a patriotic nationalist, who is always passionate about the interests of his people and the development of the land.

“As the leader and father of Government, Prof has been consistent in reaching out and making sure the South South gets its own share of power and devolution of power as the only solution to unity, political and socio-economic development of the country,

“I am proud of you for your wise advice on issues of governance and economic development of our dear state and country.
