Agbarho: UPU Commends Heroic Tanker Driver, Ejiro Otarigho

The President-General of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Worldwide, Olorogun Moses Oghenerume Taiga, has commended Mr. Ejiro Otarigho for his heroic and brave act in averting a devastating fire tragedy in Urhoboland at great risk to his life, describing him as a true Urhobo hero of the twenty-first century.

In a statement, Olorogun Moses Taiga said Ejiro Otarigho demonstrated uncommon selflessness and bravery by driving a burning truck away from a densely populated residential area to a sparsely populated area to reduce the amount of damage it would create if it exploded in Agbarho Town, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State

“Mr. Ejiro Otarigho’s courageous conduct is deeply appreciated by the UPU. We praise his insight to preserve save lives and properties of thousands of Agbarho residents.

“As terrifying as it is, for the blazing oil tanker contained the flammable substance, Otarigho’s heroism is a testament of the character of his personality.

“Our wonderful son exemplified unusual selflessness by prioritizing others over his own lide and safety, and and that of his young family.
