Ibori’s Daughter, Erhiatake Finally Emerges PDP Candidate For Ethiope Federal Seat

Daughter of former Governor of Delta State, Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, has won the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ethiope Federal Constituency in 2023 general elections.

Erhiatake defeated his closest rival, Hon. Ben Igbakpa, during a rerun primaries conducted on Tuesday morning.

She polled 46 votes to defeat Igbakpa who scored 22 votes during the rerun.

Both candidates had a stalemate in the primary conducted on Sunday to elect the party’s flagbearer.

Both aspirants scored 34 votes each in the primary earlier conducted on Sunday.

Igbakpa is the current member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, while Erhiatake (Ibori’s daughter), is the incumbent member representing Ethiope West at the Delta State House of Assembly.
