Warri South Local Government Council says it has commenced process for the allocation of open and locked-up shops at the newly beautified Ugbuwangue Modern Market in the oil-city of Warri, Delta State.

It said the process for interested traders would be transparent and fair.

In a statement on Wednesday signed by the Council Chairman, Dr. Michael Tidi, urged interested traders to pick forms at the council’s Central Administration Office along the Warri/Sapele road near Navy Base Warri.

A copy of the statement made available to WARRI TODAY explained that the first step towards actualizing a smooth and unbiased process owning shops at the market is by picking an expression of interest form.

Tidi stressed that the expression of interest form comes with a “financial commitment payable at a designated commercial bank to ensure accountability and transparency in his administration’s resolve to boost the socio-economic activity of Warri and increase the council’s internally generated revenue profile.
