Mob on Thursday set a yet-to-be identified suspected armed robber ablaze in the university community of Ozoro in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the deceased reportedly snatched a bag containing an unspecified amount of money from a lady.

The suspect, said to be armed, had threatened to kill the lady and forcefully fled with her bag.

Sources said the woman had just made a cash withdrawal from the Ozoro branch of First Bank when the incident occurred.

She was said to have immediately raised an alarm which prompted residents to chase the fleeing robber.

The fleeing robber was apprehended by mob and was reportedly beaten to a pulp.

He was subsequently set ablaze along the popular Ughelli/Asaba Expressway where he gave up the ghost.
