Igboho Floors DSS In Court, Awarded N20bn For Damages

Justice Ladiran Akinola of Oyo State High Court of Friday ordered the Department of State Services (DSS), to pay N20 billion to Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

Sunday Igboho had in a suit filed by his lawyer, Chief Yomi Aliyu, prayed the court to order the DSS pay N500 billion damages for the invasion of his Soka residence in Ibadan on 1 July.

The court held that the invasion of the Yoruba nation agitator’s home was illegal.

Justice Akinola berated the DSS for acting based on what he described as “arbitrary aggression and prejudices” from Igboho’s agitation for Yoruba nation.
