BREAKING: Tension In Oghara As Cult Clash Claims Two In Delta

There is palpable tension at Otefe-Oghara community in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State following of two persons in a cult related clash in the community.

Otefe-Oghara is the hometown of former Governor James Ibori and host community to Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara.

It was gathered that the incident was as a result of two rival cult groups – Black Axe and Vikings – in the community.

Sources told our correspondent on Tuesday that the two deceased are alleged to be members of two rival cult group.

While one of the victims was shot dead around the community secretariat, the other victim, was shot in another location within the community.

The incident happened between 8am and 9am on Tuesday.

It was further gathered that one the fleeing armed cultists was reportedly shot by security operatives.

The shot suspected cultist is now receiving treatment at undisclosed hospital while another armed suspected cultist had been arrested by the police.

The incident is building tension Otefe with indigenes and students now hiding in their homes.

It was gathered that the polytechnic management had also declared two-week mid-semester break to avoid students being victims of the ranging cult clash in the community.
