Commercial activities in Itsekiri dominated areas of Warri are currently shut for commercial activities to honour the coronation of Prince Tsola Emiko as the 21th Olu of Warri.
The revered Itsekiri monarch will be crowned today (Saturday) at Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral home of the Itsekiri people worldwide.
Thousands of Itsekiri people and guests across the world are currently trooping to various jetty to ferry them to the venue of the ceremony in Ode-Itsekiri.
As early as 6:30am the various jetty meant to convey guests to the venue were already filled to capacity.

However, transporters were seen plying their trades but shops are not currently opened for business while serious traffic gridlocks were observed in major roads in the city.
Also, commuters groaning over their inability to get transportation means to convey them to their various destinations.
At the time of filling this report, thousands of Itsekiri indigenes have gathered at the Warri boat yard, Warri Club, Uwangue Waterside, Ifiekporo waterside awaiting the Olu-designate to appear for a boat regatta along the Warri rivers and a journey to Ode-Itsekiri where his Coronation will be held.
