The Nigeria Police Force says the Special Investigation Panel constituted to investigate suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, has not submitted its report.
It said the committee is still probing the allegations leveled against Kyari in the confession of internet fraudster, Hushpuppy, by the FBI in the United States.
The Nigeria Police Service Commission had suspended Kyari from the Force to pave way for investigation of his alleged indictment.
There had been media report on Tuesday that the panel had submitted their report to the Inspector General of Police.
But a statement on Tuesday by Force Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba, urged members of the public to disregard such reports.

The statement titled “NPF Special Investigation Panel On Dcp Abba Kyari Yet To Submit Report” said once the report of the panel is submitted to the IGP, the public will be duly informed.
“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to inform the general public that the probe into the alleged indictment of DCP Abba Kyari by the FBI, being conducted by the NPF Special Investigation Panel (SIP), is still ongoing.
“Members of the public are enjoined to note that the panel has not submitted its report to the Inspector General of Police, as being wrongly reported in some news outlet and online platforms.
“The Force hereby reassures the public that the outcome of investigations by the probe panel would be communicated accordingly upon conclusion of the investigations”, the statement added.
