Chief CJ Ogbodu, father of the publisher of an online news platform, BigPen Online, Mr Joe Ogbodu, is dead.
Pa Ogbodu passed on at Oleh in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State on Sunday.
He was aged 84.
Chief Ogbodu was a retired Chief Court Admin Assistant, Delta State Judicial.
He hailed from Okrama-Oyede community of Oyede Kingdom in Isoko North LGA.
Until his death, Pa Ogbodu was a respected community leader and held the traditional title of Arugba of Oyede Kingdom
Mr Joe, a former Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Warri Correspendents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), confirmed the passage of his father in a statement.

According to a statement announcing the demise of the octogenarian, Chief Ogbodu died after a protracted illness.
“It is with heavy heart I announce the passing of my beloved father, Chief CJ Ogbodu, a retired Chief Court Admin Assistant, Delta State Judicial.
“He died today Sunday August 15, 2021 at 84 years after a protracted illness. Burial arrangement will be announced by the family later. May God bless his soul Amen!”, the statement said.
