Following the arrest of the Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Igboho, by INTERPOL in Benin Republic, hundreds of Yoruba youths have hit streets of Ibadan, Oyo State, to protest the arrest.
NIGER DELTA TODAY (NDT) Online reported that Sunday Igboho was arrested on Monday night at an airport in Cotonou alongside his German wife, while travelling to Germany for Asylum after the Department of State Security Services (DSS) declared him wanted.
However, aggrieved youths on Wednesday took the streets to protest the arrest and continued detention of the activist by Beninoise authorities.

According to a report by The Nation, the protesters were heard singing the Yourba Nation anthem and chanting “Igboho Oosa”, “Free Igboho now now”.
The protesters also displayed placards such as: “I stand with Chief Sunday Igboho”; “Sunday Igboho is not a criminal”; “Yoruba wake up” and “Sunday Igboho is fighting for our freedom”
The protesters also blocked some sections of the road, which led to traffic snarl around Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
