Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has cancelled the Yoruba Nation rally slated for Lagos on Saturday.
The Yoruba rights activist stated this hours after armed men invaded his house and abducted his wife in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
Two persons were also said to have been killed in the attack.
This is even as Yoruba self-determination group, Ilana Omo Oodua, insisted that the rally will go on as planned.

But Sunday Igboho speaking with BBC News Pidgin on Thursday announced suspension of the rally.
Ilana Omo Oodua in a contrary statement declared that the Yoruba Nation rally slated for Lagos will hold on Saturday as scheduled.
The statement was signed by its leader, Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, and made available to newsmen by his Communications Manager, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye.
“We want to confirm again that the Pro-Yoruba Nation rally scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 3rd, in Lagos will proceed as scheduled” the statement read in part.
