The crisis trailing the emergence of Prince Tsola Emiko as the Olu-designate last week Thursday deepened as unruly protesters invaded the Warri High Court where one of the Itsekiri princes is challenging Prince Emiko’s selection as possible 21th Olu of Warri.
Presiding Judge of the court, Justice V. O. Agboje, and other lawyers including a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Efe Akpofure, were said to have narrowly escaped the physical attacks when the protesters stormed the court.
NIGER DELTA TODAY (NDT) Online has obtained a video clip of the protest where some youths and supported by women threatened to beat and verbally abused Chief Akpofure, an Urhobo senior chief, who was representing Prince Bernard Emiko who filed the case for the Omoba’s removal as Olu-designate.
