Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River has sacked the state’s Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Francis Etta.

Etta’s sack brings to five the number of commissioners Ayade has relieved of their appointments since joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) last month.

The commissioners were sacked for refusing to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling APC.

Among those who had earlier been sacked include Mr Mike Usibe (Commissioner for New Cities Development), Rita Ayim (Commissioner for Women Affairs), Mr Asu Okang (Commissioner for Information and Orientation), and Ntufam Donatus Etim (Commissioner for Climate Change and Forestry).
