Nigeria Loses Another Pastor Hours After Prophet TB Joshua Died

As Nigerians were still mourning the death of Prophet TB Joshua, founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), another popular pastor, Rev. Stephen Akinola, is dead.

Rev Akinola was the General Superintendent of Redemption Ministries, Worldwide, with headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Just like Prophet TB Joshua, the cause of the death of Akinola had not be revealed.

He was said to have recently undergone a kidney transplant before falling to the cold hands of death on Sunday.

Akinola’s death was confirmed by a former Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Rivers State, Apostle Eugene Ogu.

It was gathered that while worshipers were mourning the death of Prophet TB Joshua at Ikutun Lagos, Christian worshipers also thronged Akinola’s church in Port Harcourt to mourn his death in Port Harcourt.

While confirming the sad news, Ogu, who is the founder and General Overseer of Abundant Life Ministries in Port Harcourt, said Akinola died few hours after TB Joshua was confirmed dead on Sunday.

He described the death of the cleric as painful, saying the late Akinola laboured for the growth of the church in Nigeria.
