Unknown gunmen have killed a retired Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) Police, Christopher Dega, in Jos, Plateau State Capital.

Dega, also the Senior Special Assistant to Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, on Security, was murdered on Tuesday.

He was said to have been shot in the chest several times by the fleeing bandits, The Nation reported

The late AIG Dega was a former Commissioner of Police e in Borno and Edo States.

He hailed from Katsina Ala local government area in Benue state .
