Efe Afe Donates N80m Medical Equipment, Drugs To Delta Health Centres

The member representing Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency, Hon. Efe Afe, has distributed medical equipment and drugs worth N80 million to healthcare centres in the constituency.

Afe made the distribution of the items to the benefitting healthcare centres in the constituency at Orerokpe in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

While presenting the items to the three chairmen of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie LGAs, the lawmaker charged the council chairmen to ensure even distribution of the facilities and the items to the various healthcare centres.

Represented by his senior Legislative Aide, Chief Isaac Itebu, he warned against situation where drugs are left to rot away or expire under the guise of no sufficient funds to distribute them to the various health centers.

He said he was very concerned about the health of his constituents thus the donation of the health items to the centres.

According to him, “In the past drugs are left to rot away or expire under the guise of no sufficient funds to distribute them to the various local government health centres this situation is not good”, he said.

The Federal Lawmaker stated that he would continue to provide good leadership and purposeful representation through important motions and bills that would have a great impact on the people of his constituency.

Hon Afe disclosed that he has provided 500 KVA transformers to Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Local Government Areas as well as sponsored several bills that would impact meaningfully to the lives of the peoples.

Responding the chairman of Okpe local Government, Hon. Isaiah Esiovwa commended the lawmaker for the gesture, adding that Afe has been known for his free medicare to the people before he became a federal lawmaker

The state People’s Democratic Party Chairman,Chief Kingsley Esiso represented by the party’s organising Secretary, Chief Sunday Onoriode, PDP chairmen of Okpe ,Sapele and Uvwie local Government Areas, Chief Efe Ukoh, Chief Pekins  Umukoro and Elder Efe Okoledo in their separate remarks thanked Chief Efe Afe for improving on the health care services to members of his constituency .

They pledged to monitor the distribution of the Drugs and Medical Equipment to the various Health care centres.
