Chief Edwin Clark Receives COVID-19 Vaccine In Abuja

South-South leader and convener of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief Edwin Clark, has received the COVID-19 vaccine with a call on Nigerians to take the jab.

The former Federal Commissioner for Information who recently recovered from the virus received the jab alongside members of his family at his Abuja residence.

He was vaccinated by officials of the Federal Capital Territory Healthcare Board.

Acting Executive Secretary Primary Healthcare Board, Dr. Iwot Ndeaeyo Akpan, led the FCT healthcare team to the home of the nonagenarian for the administration of the jab.

Clark, addressing newsmen after being vaccinated, appealed to Nigerians to volunteer themselves for the jab.

The Ijaw leader urged Nigerians to take the issue of safety very seriously. 

In his remarks, Dr. Akpan said there has never been any case of side effect to warrant stoppage of the administration of COVID-19 vaccines in Nigeria.
