The Chairman and management of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund Management Board (NSITF), Prince Austin Enajemo-Isire, has described the death of the father of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Pa. Arthur Okowa, as a great loss to the state and Nigeria at large.
Pa. Okowa, 88, died at the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba, the state capital, on Thursday.
The NSITF boss in a statement on Friday said he received with shock the passage of the octogenarian and patriarch of the Okowa family of Owa Kingdom in Ika North-East Local Government Area of the state.
Prince Enajemo-Isire, while commiserating with Governor Okowa and the deceased family, noted that the demise of the retired educationalist means that Delta has lost one of it great pillars and human resource of repute.

He said the late Pa Okowa while alive positively impacted society and everyone who met him.
According to Enajemo-Isire, “The death of a love one is always painful, even at such a ripe age. I’m, however. full of thanks to the Almighty God for His faithfulness over the life of Pa. Okowa.
“Until his death, he was a committed Anglican Church member who served God wholeheartedly and rendered selfless service to mankind. His blue print and outstanding contributions in reshaping the Owa-Alero Kingdom speaks for itself.
“I sincerely commiserate with our amiable Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and the good people of Owa Kingdom as well as the Anglican community over the transition of this great icon who has gone to meet with his maker.”
The NSITF boss, while praying God to grant Governor Okowa and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, prayed for the repose of Pa. Okowa.
