Excitement As Abductors Free Over 300 Kidnapped Katsina Schoolboys


The Katsina State Government has finally confirmed the release of the over 300 students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, who were abducted last Friday.

According to a report by Al Jazeera on Thursday quoted the Katsina governor, Mr. Bello Masari, of confirming the report.

Senior military source also confirmed the report of the release of the students to NIGER DELTA TODAY Online.

One of the military sources said, “Your earlier report on the release of the kidnapped Kankara schoolboys is confirmed.”

Our sources refused to give further details on the development.

Arise News and the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, had earlier written that the schoolchildren have been freed.

However, Arise Television later deleted that story on the official website without further information.

Meanwhile, he Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmaad, also confirmed the release of the students.

Bashir, in a tweet on his verified twitter handle, tweeted, “The abducted students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara has been rescued, the Katsina State Government has confirmed the news. Alhamdulillah!”
