There was pandemonium along the Ebis Mechanic road area of Yenagoa in Bayelsa State when a man reportedly beat his baby mama to death.
The deceased, Esther Pascal, was said to have died when she and her estranged boyfriend were engaged in physical battle in the early hours of on Monday.
Esther and her allegedly killer lover, Promise Oliver David, had a two-year-old baby together.
David, 27, was said to have committed the crime at about 12am when a disagreement ensued between both lovers.
It was not clear what led to the physical disagreement between the deceased and the suspect.
But sources claimed both lover were engaged in combat over the issues of feeding and welfare for the family.
It was gathered that the deceased and the suspect had been having consistent crisis over issues regarding feeding and welfare of their baby.
A source disclosed, “By the time few of us got to their door, it was locked from inside. But we forced it open and met the deceased on the floor. We quickly tried to revive her with water thinking she fainted. But we discovered that she was dead. We immediately apprehended the man and alerted the police.”

While some residents claimed the suspect allegedly used a heavy object to hit the woman on the head, others claimed she was dealt a heavy blow.
Already some members of the representatives of the Gender Response Initiatives established by the Wife of the Bayelsa Governor, Mrs. Glory Diri have visited the scene of the crime.
Rights activist, Dise Sheila Ogbise, who is the deputy coordinator a member of the Gender Response Initiatives, condemned the incident.
The spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, Asinim Butswat, confirmed the incident when contacted on Monday.
Butswat revealed that the suspect had been arrested by police operatives, saying thar investigation into the incident had commenced.
