Prominent Olomu Chief, Cassidy Okpamwa, Is Dead

Olorogun Cassidy Okpamwa

A prominent chief of the Olomu Kingdom in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, Olorogun Cassidy Onoriode Okpamwa, is dead.

Olorogun Okpamwa, who is the patriarch of the Eniru Royal Family and only surviving child of the Onojeghen Orieka Okpamwa Oleshe family, died on Friday morning at his Ughelli Residence

He was briefly sick before his passage.

He hailed from Ogbe Quarters of Okpare Olomu in Ughelli South LGA.

He was the Ejoghenesu of Olomu Kingdom and one of the close allies of the 103-year-old Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, HRM, Dr. (Ovie) R.L. Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro 1.

The Olomu chief was one of the popular businessmen in Urhoboland in the 80s. He was also a teacher in the 70s.

The late Olorogun Okpamwa was an uncle to the Managing Editor of NIGER DELTA TODAY (NDT) Online, Mr. Theophilus Okpare Onojeghen.

He was also a relation of the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and former senator representing Delta Central at the National Assembly, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo.

He is survived by wife and many children including Mr. Ovie Okpamwa and Akpos Okpamwa.
