Delta State Government is set to launch its security outfit known as ‘Delta Hawk ‘ with operational vehicles and gadgets to deal with the criminal elements across the State.

The State Commissioner for information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu disclosed this to Journalists in Asaba yesterday while Speaking on the increasing numbers of cult related killings in the recent time in Asaba and environs.

Aniagwu said, “the government is very much aware of the insecurity within Asaba, and environs”.

“It is not enough to say that government and police are not doing enough, there are number of arrests being made but we need more of intelligence from the citizens because these cultists are our brothers and sisters.”

On the recent allegations that governor Okowa, was mobilising thugs to disrupt the gubernatorial election in Edo State with a bid at rigging the election for Obaseki, Aniagwu pointed out that Delta does not produce thugs as alleged hence we will not trade words with APC in the Edo state.
