Ondo State governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the October 10 governorship election, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, has picked a former commissioner with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Lucky Rotimi Ayedatiwa, as his running mate.
Akeredolu confirmed Ayedatiwa’s choice on Wednesday during the swearing-in of Idowu Otetubi as commissioner in the state Executive Council.
The governor said he had widely consulted with leaders of the party and key stakeholders in the state before resolving for Ayedatiwa who hails from Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.
He said he will win the forthcoming governorship election with his running mate who he described as qualified for the position.

Ayedatiwa, who was once the commissioner representing the state on the board of NDDC, is grassroots politician and a leader of the party from Ilaje area of the state.
He said his running mate possessed verifiable credentials that qualified him for the position.
