A former Zonal Medical Director and Consultant Anaesthetist at the Central Hospital, Warri, Dr . Toju Eresanara, is dead.
The renowned medical doctor died of COVID-19 complications on Wednesday morning.
He was undergoing treatment at the COVID-19 treatment centre in Asaba after testing positive to the dreaded virus.
Dr. Toju played key role in the reshaping and development of Warri Central Hospital to meet the medical needs of Warri residents.
Several medical sources confirmed the development to NIGER DELTA TODAY ONLINE.
He was said to have been placed on oxygen for about a week after his health degenerated.
Dr. Toju played critical role in the recovery process of the Managing Editor of NIGER DELTA TODAY Online, Mr Throphilus Onojeghen, who had recovered from the virus.
