Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Continue To Rise As 220 Persons Test Positive

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced fresh 220 cases of COVID-19, bringing the country’s tally to 3,388 cases.

Cases in the country has been on the increase with 34 state and the FCT (Abuja) being affected by the virus.

NCDC revealed the new cases through her verified Twitter handle on Saturday.

According to the update, the nation’s death rate has hit 85 death with 17 new deaths on Saturday.

It also disclosed that 385 of the 2,388 cases have recovered and had been discharged from various centres.

Of the new cases, Lagos recorded 62 cases, FCT had 52, Kaduna 31, Sokoto 13, Kebbi 10 while Yobe had nine.

Aside Lagos, many of the cases have been coming from the Northern part of the country.
