EXCLUSIVE: Doctors, Nurses Who Treated Female COVID-19 Case Are Among Eight New Cases In Delta

Delta State Government on Friday announced additional eight cases of COVID-19 in the state.

This brings to 17, the number of confirmed cases the state has recorded.

NIGER DELTA TODAY Online learnt that two doctors and two nurses and other medical workers who attended to the lady on a viral audio, Omamuzo Ijala, are among the new cases.

It was further learnt that majority of the cases are from Ughelli South, Udu and Warri area of the state.

Other persons who were said to have had contact with Miss Ijala who had earlier debunked her positive case in a viral audio are also among the new cases.

The medical workers are serving members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)

The State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, confirmed the additional new cases in the state.

With two cases discharged and two deaths, the state now have 13 active cases undergoing treatment at various isolation centres across the state.

The results of the new cases were released late Thursday night but were announced on Friday.
