Five Killed As Boko Haram Attacks Ex-Borno Governor’s Convoy


Suspected Boko Haram members have attacked a convoy carrying the family of former Borno state governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, killing five people.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that security source revealed that BOKO Haram launched the attack on the convoy carrying the family of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff from Abuja to Maiduguri.

The ex-governor’s father, Alhaji Galadima Modu Sheriff, died on Thursday in Maiduguri.

The medium reported, “Three policemen, a driver and one member of his family were killed and several others were injured in the attack.”

Two of the police officers killed were identified as Corporal Mustapha Inusa and Corporal Abubakar Idris
