774,000 Jobs: Keyamo Gives New Directive On Selection Process

The Minister of State for Labour, Employment and Productivity, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, has given new directive to National Directorate of Employment (NDE) coordinators on the selection of Nigerians for the 774,000 jobs by the Federal Government.

Keyamo said intending applicants can apply from any LGA where they are presently resident across the country.

The minister gave the directive in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday.

He described the decision of some States’ Selection Committees’ to only consider indigenes of their states for the jobs as unacceptable.

The minister noted that any Nigerian resident in any LGA in the country irrespective of tribe is qualified to apply for the job.

Keyamo tweeted, “We understand some States’ Selection Committees are considering only indigenes for the 774,000 jobs. That’s unacceptable.

“Anyone who is resident in any LGA in the country, irrespective of tribe, is qualified. It’s one country in which we all live. The NDE coordinators should note.”
