A 30-year-old man, Monday Uwem, has been accused of killing his wife and thereafter burying her corpse in a shallow grave inside the kitchen in their family apartment at Aparama Fishing Camp, Okumbiri Town, Akassa, Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The deceased, Blessing Menaboo, a 26-year-old housewife, was said to have been killed by her husband following a disagreement.
The Bayelsa State police Command who arrested the suspect confirmed the incident on Thursday in Yenagoa, the state capital.
Residents of the community who were aware of the incident were said to have reported the suspect to the police who subsequently arrest him.

The Bayelsa Police Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Butswat Asinim, while vonfirming the incident, added that investigation had commenced into the matter.
“The deceased was allegedly killed by her husband one Monday Uwem 30 years, at their residence at Aparama Fishing Camp and buried her body in a shallow grave in their kitchen.
“The suspect who confessed to the crime was arrested and detained for further interrogation and Investigation.
“A 30-year-old man identified as Monday Uwem has killed his 26-year-old wife in Akassa, Brass Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.”
