…Reels Out Okowa’s Achievements In Udu

The campaign committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State has flagged off its community-to-community campaign, vowing to deliver all PDP candidates from the presidency to the State Assembly seat in the forthcoming general elections.
This is even as the party has commended the vice presidential candidate of the party and governor of the state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for his “tremendous infrastructural development” in the council.
Speaking at a press conference at the Udu Harbour Market in Ovwian, Coordinator, Udu PDP Campaign Committee, Chief Moses Odibo, said the party will defeat the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) massively at the coming polls in the council.
Chief Odibo stated that the APC-led Federal Government allegedly brought untold hardship and suffering to Nigerians, adding that Nigerians must not reinforce the party’s poor governance with their votes.
Flanked by a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the State, Chief Andrew Orugbo; Udu Council chairman and PDP candidate for House of Assembly, Chief Jite Brown and the Commissioner on the Board of DESOPADEC, Chief Vincent Oyibode, Odibo said it was only Atiku Abubakar/Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s ticket that can rescue the country from present predicament.
He added that the governorship candidate of the PDP and Speaker of the Delta House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori remained the best candidate to succeed Governor Okowa as the state governor.
“Nigerians are suffering. We have learnt our lessons the hard way and God will not forgive us if we fail to take advantage of this opportunity to rescue Nigeria from the army of occupation now sitting heartlessly on our commonwealth.
“By May 29, 2023 the ‘Egyptians we see today, we shall see no more’. And that can only be achieved if we vote all PDP candidates and chase out the APC at all levels. APC has no solution to our myriads of problems.
“Only the PDP can fix and reset Nigeria, put it on the path of economic recovery and save her from the avoidable misfortune that has visited the people since APC took over Aso Rock. The time to end our misery is now. Your vote is your power to reset Nigeria and bring back PDP for a new and better Nigeria.
“Today, we move to liberate Udu LGA from the grip of the APC-led federal government. Our victory will bring back the lost glory of DSC so as to bring the plant to production level. Our victory will also enable us to achieve the completion of the Delta Leisure Park at Oleri and many more projects”, he stated.
Chief Udu said the PDP Campaign Committee will move from community to community to sensitise the people of Udu on the need to vote for PDP in the next general elections in the state.
While listing some of the achievements of the Okowa-led government to the Udu people, Chief Odibo stated that the present PDP government has constructed 27.41 kilometres of roads as well as the empowerment of 390 indigenes of Udu through the various empowerment schemes.
He commended the Governor Okowa for his determination to see the Udu Harbour Market is completed under his administration, noting that a vote for PDP was a vote for a more prosperous and progressive Udu Kingdom.
