The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Delta State, Chief Great Ogboru, has enjoined his supporters to see 2023 elections in the state as “last fight for freedom”.
Ogboru also boasted that he was confident of winning next year’s election by defeating frontline runners like Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Chief Sheriff Oborevwori.
Omo-Agege, the Deputy President of the Senate, is the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while Oborevwori, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Ogboru, who had contested every governorship elections in the state since 2003, told his supporters that “no man born of a woman can stop our victory this time around” in 2023.
In a statement on Saturday, titled: ‘2023: Hope Must Be Restored’, the APGA governorship candidate vowed that Delta will be liberated in the forthcoming polls.
According to him, “But be rest assured that come 2023 your mandate will stand. Let’s see this as a last fight for freedom and we will do it with all the key mechanisms and strategies to achieve victory at the end.”
He particularly urged his supporters particularly members of his party to take the campaigns to their work places, markets and everyone that needed to hear his message of hope to the people of the state.
Ogboru commended his supporters for their uncompromising effort and unwavering love for his unrelenting quest to rescue the state from bad leadership.
“Keep hope alive as a New Delta is here. Henceforth as you go to your various places of work or businesses don’t forget to tell others about the mission and vision for a liberated Delta State.
“Tell the Old and the young that, I, Great Ogboru have not and will not forget them,” he added.
