By Sampson Boroh

Suoyo Kelvin Appah, an Executive Assistant to Bayelsa State Governor on National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has resigned his appointment with the Bayelsa State Government.

Moment after his resignation, Appah announced that he has Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The politician has also purchased the nomination and expression of interest forms in APGA to contest the Bayelsa State House of Assembly for Kolokuma/Opokuma constituency seat.

It was gathered that Appah’s decision resign his appointment as well as dump his former party followed the harmonisation of aspirants list where he was screened out of the race.

Sources within the PDP, who confirmed the development to leadership, said “the harmonisation process, which was done by the PDP, was done to ensure peaceful nomination of an aspirant for the party to represent the Governor’s constituency.

“”It was peacefully done and an acceptable aspirant emerged. The action taken by Suoyo Appah was totally unnecessary and suspected to embarrass the sitting Governor and the caucus of the party.”
