The people of riverine Burutu council area of Delta state have been assured of better democratic dividends come 2020.
The assurance was given by the duo of Hon. Asupa Forteta and Hon. Godknows Angele, lawmaker representing Burutu Constituency 1 in Delta State House of Assembly and chairman Burutu council area, respectively, at a Christmas get-together in Warri.
The get-together, attended by constituents, party faithful, council secretary, Hon. Sunday Perekeme and Delta South Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Chief Julius Takeme, also shared ideas on way forward for the council area.
While Forteta promised constituents good representation and constituency projects, Angele assured completion of ongoing projects and improved welfare for council workers in 2020.
“Gov Ifeanyi Okowa’s S.M.A.R.T. Agenda is geared towards well-being of Deltans and I assure my constituents of good representation in 2020.
“My constituents will have every reason to smile because I will embark on people-oriented constituency projects in communities come 2020”, the lawmaker said.
Angele, on his part, said “as I have always done, the people of Burutu council area would receive the best from me in service delivery, either in project implementation or workers’ welfare”.
